Description

Working Hours: 35 weekly hours

Scheduled Shift: full-time, Sunday-Thursday, 23:00-06:30

Pay rate: $18.95/hour

The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Responsibilities
  1. Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
  2. Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
  3. Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
  4. Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
  5. Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
  6. Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery
Requirements
  • No experience necessary
  • Proper scan and load techniques
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a time-sensitive environment
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Attention to process, quality and/or operational standards
  • Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
  • Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required
Experience

Specialized education is not required. No experience necessary.
