The pay range for this position is $30.67 - $55.56 based on direct and relevant experience.


RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. We aim to challenge the status quo by emphasizing the importance of radiology as a critical first step in diagnosis and treatment. Join us and shine brighter together! As a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist, you will operate assigned scanners to produce diagnostic images of patients' bodies. You will provide patient-centered ultrasound services, ensuring excellent customer service and guiding patients through procedures with kindness and clarity.


This position is a PRN role based at our Happy Valley location.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Perform patient ultrasound imaging, ensuring proper precautions and patient identification.
  2. Explain procedures to patients and position them appropriately for imaging.
  3. Conduct routine and advanced ultrasound procedures with minimal supervision, supporting patients throughout.
  4. Adjust scan parameters as needed for optimal imaging.
  5. Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  6. Follow physician orders and safety regulations diligently.
  7. Accurately document patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  8. Keep work areas clean and promote safety.
  9. Maintain compliance with ACR accreditation standards and keep equipment in good condition.
  10. Ensure adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
  11. Prepare examinations for interpretation, including proper identification and clinical history.
  12. Practice infection control and safety standards.

(5%) Support Ultrasound Department activities such as updating protocols, managing supplies, and training new staff.


Required qualifications include:


  • ARDMS registration in good standing
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved radiography program
  • State licensure as a Radiological Technologist, if applicable
  • RT, RMT, or ARDMS certification
  • OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens training
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience performing ultrasound procedures independently
  • Certification in imaging specialty
