Position Summary

Sonographer, Ultrasound, Medical Imaging is responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and providing patient-centered care. The role involves technical proficiency, effective communication, and support for the hospital’s academic and research initiatives. The position contributes to a safe and healthy environment for staff, physicians, volunteers, learners, patients, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all ultrasound imaging examinations
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working order and supplies are stocked
  • Record and manage supply inventory
  • Correlate patient history, physical findings, and lab reports with examinations
  • Work efficiently under pressure
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical and technical skills
  • Collaborate effectively with the imaging team
  • Operate ultrasound equipment
  • Assist in training ultrasound students
Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognized sonography program from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with CMRITO
  • Sonography Canada registration preferred
  • Strong medical imaging background
  • Minimum one year as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred
  • Hospital experience is an asset
  • Bilingual in French/English is an asset
Position Details

This is a Full Time Temporary position, with 8-hour shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and on-call. The primary location is Leslie (General) site, with possible rotation to Champagne Dr. or Consumers Road. Competitive benefits, pension, and vacation included.
