The Solutions Engineer plays a key role in the pre-sales process by partnering with Sales and Customer Success to deeply understand customer challenges and align solutions to their business goals. They will be responsible for demonstrating and articulating the features of Symend’s software product, developing use-case solutions, performing technical product demonstrations, supporting the development of financial business cases, and owning the fulfillment of customer SOWs.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Work as a key member of our Sales team to help customers understand the Symend offering and develop use-case solutions for the Symend platform.
This includes understanding the customer-specific use-case and evaluating the feasibility of developing such on the platform.
Develop tailored demonstrations focusing on solving the customer’s pressing challenges, using real-world examples and relevant data to illustrate value.Own and build pitch decks and use-case documents to demonstrate how the Symend platform can satisfy specific use-cases.Address customer objections with clear, well-supported responses, differentiating Symend’s offerings from competitors.Lead discovery sessions to uncover, quantify, and prioritize customer pain points, ensuring alignment with their business objectives.Deliver engaging demonstrations that show how Symend’s solutions address challenges and create measurable impact.
Create concise technical documents, including proposals, solution overviews, and RFP responses, and build strong business cases demonstrating financial and operational benefits.Develop success KPIs for initial contracts, including target populations, and complete data engineering and dashboard requirements for KPIs.Build trust and credibility by sharing industry insights, providing competitive intelligence, and showcasing Symend’s strategy and roadmap.Support customers beyond the sale by ensuring smooth transition to implementation, tracking success metrics, and reinforcing long-term value through collaboration with product, development, and operations teams.Serve as the technical liaison between sales and technology teams, providing technical support and solutioning expertise.Coordinate with Product and Engagement Science teams for review and support as needed.Travel as required to meet with clients and support marketing initiatives, including trade shows.Collaborate with product management and engineering to provide client feedback for product roadmap discussions and enablement, including training sales teams on product features and updates.Key Measures of Success:Time to pipeline progression (Discovery to POV)Time from POV to commercializationValue Engineering Effectiveness ScoreEducation:Bachelor's degree in commerce, Business, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.Experience:2-3 years as a Solutions Engineer managing enterprise clients, preferably in a managed service environment or startup.Experience in sales or consulting roles, with knowledge of value-selling methodologies.Experience selling to financial institutions and understanding of InfoSec and compliance requirements is advantageous.Key Competencies and Skills:Ownership: proactive leadership in client success and strategic alignment.Curiosity: asking questions, challenging assumptions, and analyzing data.Resilience: adaptability and problem-solving under challenges.Collaboration: building trust and influencing diverse audiences.Client Advocacy: championing customer needs and long-term success.Business Acumen: understanding operations, financials, and growth opportunities.Product Knowledge: technical expertise in managed service platforms and ability to quickly learn Symend’s platform.J-18808-Ljbffr
