We are seeking a Solutions Architect who will play a critical role in understanding technical project requirements for both existing and potential clients. The Solutions Architect will assess whether an opportunity is a good fit, develop solution paths, prepare estimates, and identify risks and mitigation strategies.

A Look into the Solutions Architect Role at Fidus
  • Work directly with potential and existing clients to understand their needs and develop their requirements.
  • Architect solutions that meet client needs.
  • Develop plans, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and estimate work required to deliver solutions.
  • Understand and present Fidus' resource capabilities and work approach.
  • Discuss, promote, defend, and refine work approaches and estimates as necessary.
  • Evaluate solutions to partition programs into logical segments.
  • Undertake project work as required.
  • Assist in identifying and developing new Fidus products.
  • Identify new areas for investment and research & development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Ideally at least seven (7) years of design experience in a Senior RF/Wireless Designer role.
  • System-level design experience, including architectural approaches and tradeoffs.
  • Expert knowledge in RF modeling using industry-standard tools.
  • In-lab experience verifying and characterizing RF performance.
  • Some knowledge of FPGAs.
  • Concise communication skills.
  • Excellent listening, understanding, and extrapolation skills.
  • Professional and personable demeanor.
  • Willingness to travel up to 6 weeks per month, primarily within North America.
  • Proven experience giving presentations to small-to-medium groups.
