Job Title: Solutions Architect – Security Services (Pre-Sales)

About the Opportunity

We’re working with a rapidly expanding managed services provider headquartered in the Southeast U.S. The firm delivers 24×7 SOC monitoring, managed SIEM / MDR / XDR, and targeted advisory services for organizations that operate in highly regulated, mission-critical environments. To keep pace with demand, they need a customer-facing Solutions Architect who can translate deep technical know-how into compelling service designs and help shorten the sales cycle.

What You’ll Tackle

• Partner with sales teams to scope opportunities, validate requirements, and craft Statements of Work for managed-security and advisory engagements.
• Own technical discovery & demos—whiteboard current-state gaps, run virtual proofs-of-value, and present remediation roadmaps to IT and executive stakeholders.
• Deploy & tune security tooling (SIEM, XDR/EDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners) during pilots, then hand off cleanly to SOC operations.
• Stay ahead of regulations & threats affecting regulated verticals (HIPAA, NIST CSF, PCI, etc.) and feed best-practice insights back to product and delivery teams.
• Contribute to pricing inputs and ensure proposed architectures are both effective and operationally feasible.

What Makes You a Fit

• 5+ years in security operations, MSSP pre-sales engineering, or a similar customer-facing role.
• Hands-on experience with at least two of the following: SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, cloud security controls.
• Comfortable spinning up virtual appliances / cloud workloads for demos and POVs.
• Skilled at translating packet-level details into business-level value for non-technical leaders.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, HITRUST, PCI, or SOX).
• Bonus: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or comparable certification.

Work Style & Travel

• Hybrid remote. Most weeks you’ll work from home; plan on being at HQ or client sites roughly twice per month (≈ 25 % travel).
• Candidates should live within reasonable driving distance of the company’s Southeastern HQ or a major airport hub.
