Summary

The Solutions Analyst will be responsible for helping to develop innovative supply chain solutions and continuous improvement initiatives for Metro Supply Chain Inc.’s new or existing clients. The Solutions Analyst will engage in a high degree of collaboration with team members to provide support and lead projects that balance client requirements with Metro Supply Chain Inc.’s objectives.

Responsibilities

Data Analytics

  1. Provide a strong ability to analyze processes and data and draw summary conclusions from the gathered data to create meaningful insights to support optimal solution design.
  2. Ability to balance multiple projects and deliver quality results on time.
  3. Work with the Solutions Manager to develop reports and update reporting/presentation templates.

Layout & Process Design

  1. Strong competency with database, spreadsheet, AutoCAD, and presentation software.
  2. Be a trusted partner supporting the Operations and Implementations teams through the execution and build out of the final operational design.
  3. Working knowledge of process mapping and predetermined time study methodologies such as MOST or MODAPTS.
  4. Support Solutions, Implementations and Product Development with efficient executive reporting related to key projects across the functional team.
  5. Support the ongoing commitment to continuous improvement by leading and/or supporting operational initiatives including reviewing and assessing current methods and procedures and designing and assisting with implementing improved techniques.
  6. Leverage and support the continued improvement of the standard solutions processes and templates.
  7. Demonstrate a clear understanding of corporate vision, culture and goals and incorporate these into all business solution designs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education & Experience

  1. Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  2. 1-2 years in the warehouse or supply chain industry is an asset.
