Solution architecture consultants craft and develop technical architectures to integrate multiple systems or applications into comprehensive solutions. Their responsibilities range from designing application architectures to managing databases and understanding their logical interdependencies with business processes.
Your future duties and responsibilities :
- Work on high-functioning agile teams as a solution architect, participating in requirement design, architectural deliverables, and solving complex problems.
- Collaborate with a larger architecture team to share insights and align with enterprise goals.
- Provide architectural guidance and leadership to teams and individuals.
- Recommend and propose creative solutions to the business, working closely with business development teams and advising key partners on software development for various applications and projects.
- Adhere to procedures and policies such as project management, configuration management, and version control.
- Design detailed architectures aligned with strategic and tactical objectives, including structure, connections, links with business processes, data, applications, and infrastructure.
- Participate in exploring new technologies, offering expertise, creativity, and professional insights, translating architectural decisions into understandable concepts, and reviewing artifacts to ensure alignment with the global architecture.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends, industry innovations, and emerging methodologies, advocating for innovative technologies.
- Architect, implement, and maintain middleware solutions using Oracle Middleware technologies such as WebLogic and Oracle Service Bus (OSB).
- Configure and manage file servers and permissions for secure and efficient file storage.
- Manage and administer Internet Information Services (IIS) for hosting web applications and services.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate solutions with Active Directory for user management and authentication.
- Create architectural diagrams and documentation using VISIO.
- Develop and maintain Linux scripting solutions to automate system administration tasks.
- Use PowerShell to automate tasks and streamline operations on Windows systems.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and suggest improvements to optimize existing solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role :
- 3+ years of experience in solution architecture, especially with strategic or utility applications.
- Proven expertise with multiple technologies.
- Experience as a Solution Architect or similar role.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Middleware technologies, including WebLogic and Oracle Service Bus (OSB).
- Experience configuring and managing file servers and permissions.
- Proficiency in Internet Information Services (IIS) administration.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory and its integration.
- Familiarity with VISIO for architectural diagrams.
- Proficiency in Linux scripting and PowerShell.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new products and technologies.
- Experience working directly with clients.
- Degree in IT, computer science, software development, or related fields.
- IT and architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF).
