Job summary

The District of North Vancouver is seeking a Solid Waste Clerk to join the Operations team. This on-site clerical role focuses on processing service requests, preparing documents, and maintaining tracking procedures with a strong emphasis on accuracy and customer service.

You will use MS Office applications daily, reconcile invoices, and support fleet and payroll coordination as needed. A valid BC driver’s license is required. Hybrid options exist, but this role does not offer remote work.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 with related clerical experience.
  • A valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.
  • First Aid certification is an asset.
  • Excellent command of business English with strong spelling and punctuation.

Responsibilities

  • Process service and work requests and maintain tracking.
  • Prepare documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
  • Reconcile invoice statements and respond to inquiries.
  • Coordinate Solid Waste cart repairs and RAPs.
  • Provide coverage for Fleet and Streets payroll when needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of Fleet and Solid Waste operations.
