Job summary

A renewable energy company is seeking a Solar Installation Helper to assist electricians with installations, ensure safe work areas, and travel to customer sites in the NYC area. Ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of electrical tools, ability to lift heavy equipment, and prior construction or solar experience. Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of electrical tools and safety practices.
  • Previous construction, solar, or electrical experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on rooftops or ladders.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation a plus.
  • OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist solar electricians with wiring, conduit runs, and panel terminations.
  • Pull wire, label circuits, and support inverter and disconnect installations.
  • Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe.
  • Traveling to customer locations across the New York City metropolitan area.
  • Follow instructions from foreman supervisors.
  • Help with system testing and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain safety standards and use proper PPE at all times.
