Job summary

Kaizen LAB in Calgary, AB is seeking a Laboratory Technician to prepare soil samples for inorganic analysis, perform data entry into the LIMS, and maintain accurate records within the quality system.

Applicants should have basic lab procedure knowledge, professional communication, multitasking ability, and flexibility to work overtime. A Bachelor of Science or Technical Diploma is preferred; prior contract-lab experience is a plus.

Shift Details:

• Tuesday to Saturday


• Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Position Details:

• Prepare soil samples for analysis in the inorganic department.


• Data entry into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).


• Maintain records in accordance with the internal quality system.

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures.


• The ability to communicate in a professional manner.


• The ability to multi-task and handle instructions.


• Willingness to work overtime hours as requested.

Additional Assets:

• Bachelor of Science or Technical Diploma.


• Previous experience in a contract laboratory.


• Previous knowledge of the analysis in the following areas: Saturated Paste Extraction, Soil Particle Size/Texture Analysis.
