Join the Software Validation team to ensure high-quality, intuitive medical devices that meet design and use requirements. The preferred location is Winnipeg, Manitoba, or Halifax, Nova Scotia (Hybrid). Candidates outside these locations may work remotely within Canada or the US with less than 25% travel.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate clinical practices and optimize clinical processes with product management, UX, and engineering teams during R&D.
  2. Provide feedback and improve design, development, and modification of oncology products and systems.
  3. Support the development and maintenance of Varian products, especially Digital Oncology Products (ARIA CORE, ARIA cOIS, ARIA STM, etc.) and related QA activities.
  4. Participate in design reviews, including requirements definition, design, and risk analysis.
  5. Develop strategies for thorough design validation to meet requirements.
  6. Write test procedures with traceability to requirements and risk mitigations.
  7. Represent clinical user and patient perspectives by identifying workflow issues and critical features.
  8. Ensure validation completeness, safety, and efficacy of Varian products.
  9. Work as part of a global team and travel up to 30% to support validation efforts.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
  • Minimum ADN or BSN degree in Nursing or equivalent; NCLEX-RN pass required.
  • Clinical experience in a hospital environment or similar role (e.g., Clinical Applications Specialist, trainer).
  • Medical/radiation treatment knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; fluent in English.
  • Organized, goal-oriented, and capable of prioritizing.
  • International mindset.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of ARIA Oncology Information System and related products.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills.

This is a hybrid role, with options for remote work in Canada or the US. The annual base pay ranges from $69,000 to $119,000, depending on experience. Siemens Healthineers offers health benefits, paid time off, and holiday pay.
