Job summary

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions in Calgary, AB, seeks a Software Test Engineering Intern for May 3, 2027, to May 1, 2028. You will work hands-on with the Software Test Engineering team, gaining experience in software verification and validation.

You will design, execute and maintain verification scripts in Python, participate in CI with Jenkins, and learn to analyze GNSS/INS data while refining validation requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered in the Computer Science or Engineering Internship/Co-op program and have completed at least your 2nd or 3rd year by start.
• Enrolled in Computer Science, Geomatics, Computer Software Engineering or any field related to software development at an accredited post-secondary institution
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work in an inclusive and collaborative team environment
• Available for a minimum 12 month work term at our Calgary office location, 37.5 hours a week
• Strong academic credentials
• Valid class 5 driver’s license

Overview

Hexagon's Autonomous Solutions, is looking for an Software Test Engineering Intern to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company for the period of May 3, 2027 to May 1, 2028. To support our focus on delivering high quality products, we are looking for an enthusiastic internship student to add to our growing Software Test Engineering (STE) team. This role offers you a chance to work hands-on alongside our STE team. Working with our experienced team of Software Test Designers you will gain valuable experience in Software Verification & Validation.

The Location

Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based onsite in Calgary, AB.

• ISTQB Certification
• Knowledge of GPS/GNSS/INS
