Job summary

Descartes Systems Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Test Analyst to support quality engineering across the software development lifecycle. This automation-focused role develops and executes automated and manual tests, validates APIs, and supports CI/CD processes to ensure software quality and performance.

Location: Remote / Hybrid with a QA-focused team in the Research & Development department. You will collaborate with Product, Development, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of software testing, QA, or quality engineering experience.
• Experience developing and executing automated and manual tests.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or comparable automation frameworks.
• Programming or scripting experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, or a similar language.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, web applications, and enterprise software.
• Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar test management and lifecycle tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and execute automated and manual test cases.

Position Summary

Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 CAD annually. Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications, and years of experience. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
