JOB SUMMARY :

The Software Quality Engineer II is responsible for quality efforts on small features and contributes to early testing during development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Designs and executes test plans for user stories and features during implementation.
  • Performs exploratory and edge-case testing alongside development.
  • Creates and maintains manual and light automated test cases.
  • Collaborates with developers on unit tests and identifies gaps.
  • Raises quality concerns or risks early in sprints.
  • Validates “dev builds” after deployment to the quality assurance department.
  • Contributes to test tooling or scripts for recurring testing needs.
  • Performs other projects and duties as assigned by the manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance.
  • Solid understanding of testing types (functional, integration, regression).
  • Ability to design and execute test cases based on requirements.
  • Understanding of CI/CD workflows and testing integration.
  • Ability to review acceptance criteria and identify gaps or ambiguities.
  • Ability to write clear bug reports with reproduction steps.
  • Familiarity with basic API testing.
  • Self-organizational skills and ownership of testing tasks.
  • Critical thinking to prioritize testing efforts based on risk.
  • Basic knowledge of Unity game engine and C#.

ASSETS :

  • Knowledge of the casino game industry.
  • Experience in game development environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and adaptability skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, and use hands.
  • Visual abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
  • Travel may be required locally, nationally, or internationally.
