As a Software Quality Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Prepare and implement the Vehicle Software Quality Assurance Plan on the project and prepare the Software Quality Assurance Report.
- Support the reporting on a regular basis regarding process conformity and software technical documentation progress.
- Support the Project Configuration with tracking status of supplier software.
- Perform audit planning and execution for internal and external suppliers according to applicable standards, and follow-up on corrective and preventative actions until closure.
- Support software certification activities on the project.
- Assist System Engineers by defining software quality requirements in the Supplier Requirement Definition during the project startup phase.
- Document acceptance of any new software baseline for vehicle service.
- If required, serve as the interface for the customer on software quality matters.
- Document the return of experience for each project phase.
- The role may require travel to internal and external interfaces.
Mandatory:
- Overall understanding of software engineering life cycle models, tools, and techniques.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and other quality methods and tools.
- Team player with customer orientation.
- Familiarity with software configuration management techniques and tools.
- Auditor certification and experience are desirable.
- Business acumen.
- Ability to interpret software quality assurance and safety standards such as ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 90003, EN 50128, EN 50657, IEEE 1558, CMMI, IRIS.
- Proficiency with tools like MS Office, SharePoint, and project tracking databases.
