Job Summary:
- Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Analyst to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of software testing including planning, preparation, execution, and transition to operations.
- You will help ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions through both manual and automated testing approaches. Occasional overtime may be required to meet critical project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:- Software Quality Analyst provides accurate estimates for testing tasks and activities.
- Design and prioritize a complete set of test scenarios to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop, review, and execute both manual and automated test scripts.
- Lead the identification, creation, and management of test data.
- Develop test schedules and manage testing timelines.
- Lead and facilitate defect triage meetings to ensure issues are tracked and addressed efficiently.
- Produce regular status updates and detailed final test phase reports.
- Monitor overall test progress and proactively resolve or escalate issues.
- Identify regression test sets and support knowledge transfer to operational teams.
- Act as an administrator for testing projects within OpenText ALM (HPQC).
JobQualifications:Education & Certifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Formal training in software testing.
- ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Level certification required; Advanced Level preferred.
- Certified Software Test Lead (IIST) preferred.
Experience & Skills:- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing, including:
- Creating and executing manual test scripts.
- Logging and managing defects and enhancements.
- Creating and managing test data.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Test Lead role, including:
- Developing and maintaining test strategies and plans.
- Leading test teams and defect meetings.
- Mentoring and training QA resources.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and QA best practices.
- Proficient in OpenText Content Management/Content Server, Process Automation/AppWorks, and SharePoint testing.
- Hands-on experience with OpenText ALM (HPQC) and OpenText Functional Testing/UFT/QTP for automated testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
Deliverables Include (but not limited to):- Test scenarios and manual/automated test scripts.
- Regression test sets and test script traceability matrices.
- Detailed documentation of test data requirements.
- Status and final test phase reports.
