Paladin Technologies is seeking to hire a Software Programmer to work under the direction of our Custom Solutions Director. Your work will focus on the programming components associated with the installation, service, and maintenance of integrated low voltage systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with low voltage systems such as access control, CCTV, intrusion, networking infrastructure, and commercial audio-visual.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and coordinate the development, installation, integration, and operation of computer-based systems including mobile applications.
- Assess, test, troubleshoot, document, upgrade, and develop maintenance procedures for operating systems, communications environments, and applications software.
- Develop software and integrated information systems, process control software, and other embedded software control systems.
- Work with third parties to integrate software and/or transfer information as required.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and service issues related to the above infrastructure.
- Plan and deliver software and OS upgrades.
- Develop and maintain Methods of Procedures for system upgrades and implementations.
- Collaborate with other Systems Analysts, Project Managers, Sales, and Engineering teams to design IT infrastructure supporting Physical Security and Audio Video solutions.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, well-lit, and ventilated office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
- Some travel may be required.
- Flexible working schedule and occasional on-call duties are expected.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with proven experience in designing, deploying, and supporting complex systems.
- Experience with Python and C# programming.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical data clearly to various stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with remote work and participating in remote teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion, and commercial audio-visual systems.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers and networking.
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
- Creative, outside-the-box thinking.
