We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Software Product Manager to lead the development and enhancement of our pension administration software solutions. This role is pivotal in driving product innovation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering exceptional value to our clients, their members, and other key stakeholders, including TELUS Health’s implementation and operational teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in defined benefit pension administration and/or the insurance or financial services industries, a strong technical background, and a passion for creating user-centric software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision:

    • Define the product vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives.

    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap.

    • Prioritize features and initiatives based on market needs, customer feedback, and business goals .

  • Development and Delivery Oversight:

    • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to define product requirements and create detailed product roadmaps.

    • Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.

    • Oversee the product development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of software products.

  • User Experience and Design:

    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create a seamless and engaging user experience.

    • Conduct usability testing and iterate on design based on user feedback.

    • Ensure the product meets user needs and expectations.

  • Quality Assurance and Testing :

    • Establish and maintain quality standards for the product.

    • Oversee testing efforts, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.

    • Ensure the product is reliable, secure, and performant.

  • Product Launch and Market Introduction :

    • Plan and execute product launches, including marketing and communication strategies.

    • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure a successful launch.

    • Monitor product performance post-launch and make necessary adjustments.

  • Lifecycle Management :

    • Continuously gather and analyze user feedback to inform product improvements and updates.

    • Manage the product lifecycle, including planning for end-of-life when necessary.

    • Ensure ongoing support and maintenance of the product.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication :

    • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.

    • Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders.

    • Ensure alignment and buy-in from all relevant parties.

What You Bring

● Experience: Minimum of 7 years in product management, with at least 3 years focused on defined benefit pension administration and/or the insurance or financial services industries.

● Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of the product management discipline, software development processes, including Agile methodologies, and experience working closely with engineering teams.

● Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of pension administration, benefits management, and related regulatory frameworks.

● Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive product initiatives from conception to launch.

● Customer Focus: A passion for delivering exceptional outcomes and user experiences.

● Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., PMC, PMP, PMI-ACP) is a plus.
