Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on, energetic, and motivated Tech Lead to join our forward-thinking company. As a Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving our software solutions to new heights. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including Product Managers and Designers, to ensure project goals align with business objectives. Your leadership will foster a culture of engagement and collaboration within the team while maintaining high standards in engineering practices and producing high-quality software products. This role reports to the Director of Engineering and leads a team of software engineers.

Dive into the world of aviation technology and contribute to exciting projects like advancing safety systems and creating the next generation of aviation software suite.

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to define and refine project scopes and deliverables.
  • Lead a team of software engineers, mentoring them and encouraging best practices in coding, design, and software engineering to drive the alignment of team goals with broader business objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that promotes engagement and high performance.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions through rigorous development and testing practices.
  • Identify and address technical and logistical bottlenecks within products.
  • Serve as a technical expert and point of contact for stakeholder queries.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and deliver solutions that meet quality and timeline targets.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Job location

This role will be based out of our office in Vancouver. With our hybrid working policy, we prioritize a harmonious balance between working from home and being present in the office (typically 3 days per week). We place huge importance on the contribution and experience you bring to the team. The salary will be based on the value you will bring to the role with a range spanning from $135K - $160K CAD per year. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
