About the Role

As a Software Engineering Specialist on the Human Data team, you will be responsible for creating cutting-edge data to facilitate the training of large language models. Collaborating closely with technical staff, you will contribute to datasets for model training, benchmarking, and overall advancement.

This role is a full-time remote position. Part-time may be offered on a case-by-case basis but full-time is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and refine AI-generated code, ensuring it adheres to industry standards for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance AI-driven coding solutions, ensuring they meet enterprise-level quality and performance benchmarks.

Key Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on industry experience with a proven track record in software development and / or public proof of work (e.g., GitHub).
  • Extensive experience with tools and systems such as Databases, SQL, Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, gRPC, and AWS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Adaptability, strong logical reasoning, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contributions to open source projects or high reputation on platforms like Stack Overflow, or strong programming competition performance.
  • Enthusiasm for building advanced AI systems.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to changing environments.
  • For remote work, a computer capable of running Windows 10 or macOS BigSur 11.0 or later.
  • This is a fully remote position.
  • We cannot provide visa sponsorship.
  • If in the US, hiring is not available in Wyoming and Illinois.
  • You must own a smartphone with reliable access.
  • Indicate your preferred work schedule (full-time or part-time). Full-time is 40 hours / week, typically 9-5 : 30pm in your timezone, with onboarding in PST. Part-time involves 20-29 hours / week, with at least 10 hours on weekdays.
  • Pay ranges from $55 / hour to $65 / hour, determined case-by-case based on experience, skills, and education.
  • Benefits vary by country; medical benefits may be available for full-time roles depending on residence. No benefits are offered for part-time roles.
