What you will be doing
- Build and nurture high-performing development teams through effective hiring, mentoring, and professional development.
- Allocate resources efficiently, balancing workloads and skillsets within the teams.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, providing constructive feedback and setting development goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure a holistic approach to product development.
- Motivate and inspire team members, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to employees, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Foster open communication within the team, encouraging the sharing of ideas and information.
- Act as a servant leader for your team members, by removing obstacles, frictions and resolving conflicts.
- Monitor the performance of individuals and teams and foster a high-performance mindset while providing constant feedback to individuals.
- Collaborate with other managers and stakeholders to ensure resources are aligned with company goals.
Agile Project Management
- Champion and facilitate Agile methodologies, ensuring the team adheres to Agile practices and principles, such as transparency, adaptability, and collaboration. Ensure the team adheres to the best software engineering processes and practices and it is always improving processes and tools.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, regularly assessing and optimizing development processes.
- Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring teams remain focused, efficient, and productive.
- Act as a bridge between the team and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication of priorities and expectations.
- Track sprint progress, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on track and align with company goals.
What you must have
- 10+ years of SaaS Product and microservices software development experience.
- 10+ years of experience building a SaaS platform with event driven, API first, microservices environments.
- Experience with GoLang and React is helpful but not required; we’re open to candidates who’ve worked with comparable modern stacks and can ramp up quickly.
- Proven track record of resolving conflicts, building team cohesion, and fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
- Extensive experience leading and mentoring Senior and Junior Software Engineers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on outcomes.
- Ability to mentor and motivate team members while fostering a growth-oriented environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and other Agile and Project Management methodologies.
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Salary/Rate Range
$130,000.00 – $150,000.00
