Salary Range: $3,650 - $4,525 CAD per month

We have developed a ground-breaking medical device for the diagnosis and treatment of the most common heart rhythm disorder, atrial fibrillation – which can cause stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications .

Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. To achieve this, we have developed The Globe Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.

We have now completed our pivotal clinical study, and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.

As a member of the Application Engineering team you will be involved in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining various software tools used across the company to support our product data management.

Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

You will engage in activities that develop practical and transferable skills such as:

  • Design and implement internal software tools to integrate data from third party systems.
  • Extend functionality of existing product data management systems using their APIs and databases.
  • Participate in requirements analysis prior to and during development and validation activities.
  • Take part in the full development, testing, and release cycle in a regulated environment.
  • Work with a wide variety of teams to drive high-impact features to improve efficiency and quality throughout the organization.

What you bring to the team

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:

  • Object-oriented programming skills, preferably with Java or C#.
  • Experience writing technical documentation.
  • Experience with source repositories, preferably with Git.
  • A history of success working in a team setting.
  • A keen desire to help produce high quality code.
  • Highly proactive and able to execute tasks with minimal instruction and guidance.
  • Enthusiastic about finding innovative solutions to unforeseen challenges.

The following factors are preferred and could help increase suitability for the role:

  • Proven ability to learn and use third party APIs and libraries.
  • Experience with test-driven development and unit testing frameworks.
