Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Software Engineer / Software Developer to join our growing team!

In support of our mission, you will design, develop, document, test, deploy, and debug software applications. You will research, identify, and implement solutions for complex, multi-disciplinary software challenges. Specifically, you will contribute to the CCS-C system, which provides satellite control capabilities for the US Space Force (USSF) and US Space Command (USSPACECOM).

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Implementing new features and resolving bugs to ensure smooth integration with existing systems
2. Conducting software development using Agile methodology
3. Documenting issues and enhancements using Jira
4. Providing support for multi-language systems, including C/C++, Python, and Java
5. Improving usability, performance, and maintainability through analysis and bug fixes
6. Collaborating with the test team to coordinate, integrate, and resolve defects

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments
• Strong skills in C/C++, Java, and Python
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems
• Prior experience with Satellite Command and Control (C2) ground systems or DoD-related experience

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with Jira (highly preferred)
• Team-based software development and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with legacy software and modernization efforts
• Knowledge of Java and shell scripting
• Experience with Agile methodologies

Additional Information:

This position requires a Secret clearance to start. It is part of our Federal Solutions team, supporting US government missions worldwide in defense, security, intelligence, and more.

Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
