Job summary

The role involves designing, developing and enhancing Ring Socket Services to maintain persistent connections with millions of devices, troubleshooting production issues, and upholding code quality and automation. A bachelor’s degree in CS is required, with 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience on new or existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language (Java, C++, or C#) including object-oriented design.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with firmware and cloud software teams to design and deliver new features for Ring devices.
• Design, develop and enhance Ring Socket Services to maintain persistent connections with millions of devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the production environment reported by QA and customers.
• Help maintain code quality, organization and automation.
