Netskrt is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer (Platform) based in Vancouver, BC to be part of our platform team. If you are passionate about building metrics and log collection systems, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our technology landscape. This is a hybrid role based downtown.

We are a highly motivated team dedicated to delivering products and services that improve customer experience when accessing internet video at the edge of the network. We have also developed a set of inter-related technologies targeting businesses that offer Wi-Fi to their customers but have limited bandwidth.

Netskrt offers the opportunity to obtain hands-on experience with storage, networking, security, and cloud technologies. As part of the Netskrt team, you will have the opportunity to design and implement solutions to solve challenging problems in a startup environment working alongside accomplished engineers and a leadership team with a proven history of success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain our distributed Kubernetes-based infrastructure
  • Create scalable and robust container orchestration and deployment strategies
  • Write and manage declarative application manifests for GitOps-driven continuous delivery using ArgoCD, Helm, and Kustomize
  • Enhance the reliability, observability, and resilience of the platform through monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex production issues; develop long-term solutions
  • Collaborate closely with the development teams to facilitate efficient deployment and operation of applications.
  • Continuously improve deployment processes and automation workflows

Required Qualifications, Skills, Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud computing
  • Proficiency in administering and scaling Kubernetes workloads in a multi-cluster environment
  • Proficiency in writing declarative application definitions for ArgoCD
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
