Job Description
Who You’ll Work With
Join our Packet Forwarding Engines (PFE) and System software development team. You'll work on building packet forwarding engine and system software for complex networking ASICs, integral to Arista's Extensible Operating System (EOS), a Linux-based network OS.

What You’ll Do
Develop and test ASIC-based packet forwarding engines, hardware components, and related software. Collaborate across teams for hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and customer support. Own projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Write specifications for small features and manage hardware components software.
• Implement solutions using C, C++, and Python.
• Test and debug software and hardware libraries.
• Develop automated tests and fix issues found.
• Collaborate with hardware and customer support teams for system bring-up and troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team documentation.

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc, or Ph.D. in relevant fields with 3+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Linux/UNIX, and understanding of IP networking/distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a team.
