Workday is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to a cloud ops platform that ingests and processes data for Workday applications and AI/ML workflows.

You will work with Kubernetes, Spark, Python, Java, Iceberg, EMR, and Sagemaker to build scalable data pipelines and service endpoints. A strong background in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Distributed Systems or a related field.
• 3+ years proficiency in at least two programming languages: Java, Scala, Python.
• 3+ years in cloud engineering or related field(s).
• Working knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and managed services (AWS, GCP).
• Experience with data engineering technologies: Spark, Iceberg, Kubernetes, Terraform.
