Salary Range : $96,300 - $154,000 CAD per year

Description

As an AWS Software Engineer II at Kapitus, you will play a pivotal role in developing impactful solutions for complex business challenges within a dynamic environment. You will lead initiatives to optimize operational workflows and improve efficiency, working within an Agile team. Your role involves collaboration with developers and stakeholders, contributing beyond coding to cross-team efforts.

Responsibilities :

• Participate in technical design sessions to identify and document solutions.
• Develop microservices using AWS serverless architecture.
• Advise stakeholders with a consultative approach.
• Foster a positive team culture through open dialogue and feedback.
• Enhance system efficiency, performance, and availability.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Support legacy systems while developing new solutions.

Qualifications :

• BSc in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4-8 years of development experience with NodeJS and Python.
• Experience designing and implementing REST and event-based services with AWS tools like Lambda, EventBridge, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM.
• Experience with SaaS/cloud software solutions and integrations.
• Proficiency with AWS services: Lambdas, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, EC2, IAM, STS.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (RDS).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in Agile environments.
• API development and deployment experience.
• Knowledge of CloudFormation templates.
• Problem-solving skills with a focus on translating business needs into technical solutions.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience in lending or financial services.
• AWS Solutions Architect or Developer Certification.
• Experience with SCRUM, SAFE, TDD.
• Ability to communicate requirements and technical details effectively.
