About The Team

The Developer Tooling team supports engineers across the software development lifecycle, driving improvements and providing tools for efficient building, deploying, and operating systems.

About The Role

As a Software Engineer II on our Web Platform, you will enhance developer experience by building and improving frontend tooling, modernizing workflows, and collaborating across teams to increase efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities
  1. Design, develop, and maintain frontend build systems and tooling
  2. Optimize build processes for performance and reliability
  3. Create and maintain internal libraries and utilities
  4. Collaborate to resolve developer experience pain points
  5. Stay current with frontend technologies and best practices
Key Attributes
  • 4+ years in frontend development
  • Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and React
  • Experience with build tools like Webpack, Vite, Rollup, or esbuild
  • Knowledge of package managers (npm, yarn, pnpm)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Curiosity and growth mindset

Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges vary by location, e.g., California: $119,000 - $185,500; outside California: $98,000 - $176,500; Canada: $124,500 - $165,000 CAD. Compensation considers experience, skills, and organizational needs. Position includes equity and benefits.

Location Requirements

Primary residence must be near specified cities in the US, Canada, or Mexico.
