A leading tech company in Toronto is seeking a Software Engineer in the Delivery Matching team. You will work cross-functionally to enhance user experiences and improve efficiency. Ideal candidates have a BS/MS in Computer Science, 2+ years of experience in software engineering, and proficiency in languages such as Java, Go, or C/C++. About the Role
Delivery Matching is the brain of the company, planning all of the actions that must come together to enable a magical experience for customers of Eats, as well as new verticals such as grocery, retail, Uber Direct, and Uber Connect. Our team optimizes the problem of finding the best courier at the right time for each order, a combinatorial problem with hundreds of thousands of possibilities considered every few seconds. We also develop new earning paradigms—such as Flat Rates—alongside Scheduling mechanisms that shape how couriers earn and engage with the platform.
On this team, you’ll work cross-functionally with other engineers, scientists and product managers to find ways to improve efficiency and provide a better experience for our users. You’ll participate in the full development cycle from ideation to architecture design, to implementation, to productionization. Your efforts will directly affect the company’s top and bottom lines.

For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$136,000 per year - CAD$151,000 per year.
