Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design and implement the next generation of the Checkout Platform, delivering APIs and microservices to manage every user transaction with Affirm. This remote Canada role is open to residents in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.

You will work with technical leaders to own checkout components, improve system health, and collaborate across teams

Qualifications

What You'll Do

• Work with technical leaders in the team to design and implement insightfulforward-looking approaches that go beyond the direct team and solve largeopen-ended problems
• Actively own components of checkout systems and define their long-termhealth, while also improving the health of surrounding systems
• Collaborate with engineers within our team and across the organization tobuild the next generation of the checkout platform
• Learn and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes across thecheckout platform

Employees new to affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.

Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)

CAN base pay range per year: $133,000 - $183,000

Location - Remote Canada

This remote role is open only to candidates residing in Alberta, BritishColumbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia,Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.
