A leading company in financial technology is seeking a Software Engineer II, Backend, to join their Consumer Authentication team. You will be responsible for developing secure backend systems and collaborating with various teams to enhance the user experience, whilst ensuring robust security protocols. The Consumer Authentication Engineering team provides a seamless account creation and access experience for Affirm customers. The goal of the team is to secure the assets and loans of Affirm customers by protecting them through several security and fraud levers. The team is responsible for account recovery, and management—balancing a frictionless consumer experience with strong protections against both accidental and malicious account takeovers (ATO), while meeting evolving regulatory and compliance requirements.
We are looking for a highly motivated Backend engineer to work in the Consumer Authentication team on several key architecture and product initiatives. You will also be responsible for building optimizations through experimentation and improving the conversion metrics.
CAN base pay range per year: $125,000 - $175,000
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range.Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company! Affirmers in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned Affirm office.
