Job summary

Diligent, Vancouver-based, is seeking a Software Engineer II to build secure, scalable serverless microservices with TypeScript on AWS. You will influence architecture, participate in design reviews, and improve AI-assisted workflows.

The role requires mid-level software engineering experience, collaboration, and strong coding practices in a fast-paced, AI-aware environment. You will work in a hybrid setup, contributing to end-to-end services from architecture to monitoring, while leveraging AI

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile, fast-paced environment.
• AI tooling to boost productivity; prompt engineering; evaluating outputs responsibly.
• Familiar with AWS; infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform).
• CI/CD pipeline setup and AI-assisted DevOps tooling.
• Backend: RESTful APIs with Node.js/TypeScript; Git; PostgreSQL.
• Frontend: React or Angular for modern web interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable serverless solutions using AWS Serverless tech.
• Optimize development and delivery to maximize team productivity and CI/CD
• Collaborate with team, plan and execute tasks following Agile processes
• Use AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, research, and reviews, with validation
