Job description

Responsibilities (Text Only)

1. Driving projects from design through implementation, experimentation, and finally shipping to our users.
2. Understanding scenarios, challenges, and issues in a feature area. Proposing design solutions, mitigations, and being responsible for metric-driven results.
3. Working independently to implement, flight, and ship features to different canvases, impacting key metrics.
4. Innovating feature ideas, analyzing opportunities through data mining of Bing logs and user studies.
5. Understanding all relevant metrics, deriving insights from real traffic scorecards, and developing improvement plans.
6. Building dashboards and online tests to monitor feature coverage, performance, and availability.
7. Collaborating with internal and external partner teams globally.
8. Embodying our culture and values.

Qualifications (Text Only)

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of industry experience with large-scale Web development, App development, Distributed Systems, and/or Information Retrieval.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience in the same languages as above.
• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Good communication skills in English are preferred.
• Strong design, problem-solving, and data analysis skills, with a passion for quality, performance, and engineering excellence. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to research innovative solutions.
