Job Title: DevOps Software Engineer

Locations: Remote Canada

Reports to: Director, Cloud Operations

Responsibilities

• Join the DevOps team and help establish and employ Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery patterns.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions.
• Operate in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with attention to detail and self-organization.
• Contribute to pipelines, cloud platforms, and observability stacks to improve product development and delivery.

Qualifications

Education and Related Experience. Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting and building scalable software solutions, preferably with compute-intensive workloads and high-availability delivery.

Core Technical Strengths

• 5+ years of combined DevOps/SRE + software engineering
• Strong experience with Terraform.
• Hands-on with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
• Experience with AWS or Azure services, and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS).
• Good experience with OpenTelemetry, LGTM stack, or commercial tools like New Relic/DataDog/Dynatrace.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices and secure software delivery.
• Good understanding of synthetic monitoring, SLI/SLOs, and error budgets.

Edge and Additional Qualifications

Working Experience. Experience architecting or facilitating the deployment of solutions on Kubernetes, Cloud-based architectures with fault tolerance and disaster recovery capabilities, and security frameworks such as OAuth, WS-Security, encryption at rest and in transit. Agile software development experience with tools like Atlassian Jira.
