Job summary

Foresters Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer Co‑op Student (AI) for a 4‑month contract. You will join the AI & Enterprise Applications team, contributing to design, development, deployment of AI‑powered applications, and hands‑on experience with enterprise software.

You will train and evaluate ML models, prepare data, and collaborate on prototypes, while following best practices and Agile ceremonies in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C#, .NET, Java, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit‑learn.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience or familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and modern software development practices.
• Understanding of data analysis, data preparation, model evaluation, and software testing principles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, curiosity, and a passion for learning new technologies.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and enterprise technology solutions is considered an asset.

The Software Engineer Co‑op Student will join the AI & Enterprise Applications team and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of innovative software solutions and AI‑powered applications. Working alongside experienced architects, engineers, and data professionals, you will gain hands‑on experience building enterprise applications, developing AI/ML solutions, and evaluating emerging technologies. Hourly Range

Hourly Range: $21.00 - $30.00

The actual base salary for this position will depend on several factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and education. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may participate in a discretionary variable incentive plan, results are subject to both individual and company performance.
