About the Role:

As a Software Engineer, you will build Motive Cards for our customers, developing APIs and services that integrate with payment platforms to process transactions securely and reliably.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and scaling data models and improving system performance.
• Designing scalable API interfaces for internal and external applications.
• Learning and integrating third-party billing/payment systems like Stripe or Adyen.
• Developing software to reduce operational costs, decrease iteration times, and enhance decision-making.
• Implementing monitoring, logging, and debugging tools to ensure system health.
• Collaborating effectively across teams and projects.
• Managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Mentoring and learning within the engineering team.

What We’re Looking For:

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Experience building infrastructure, distributed systems, and data models.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Go, Java, Javascript/Node.js, or similar languages.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, or Cassandra.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or private clouds.
