About the Role:

As a Software Engineer, you will develop Motive Cards for our customers, focusing on building APIs and services that connect with payment platforms to process transactions securely and reliably.

You will be part of a team responsible for integrating with payment systems, generating invoices, processing transactions, and preventing fraud.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and optimize data models and system performance.
• Create scalable API interfaces for internal and external applications.
• Learn and integrate third-party billing/payment systems like Stripe or Adyen.
• Develop software to reduce operational costs and improve iteration speed.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and debugging tools for system health.
• Collaborate effectively across teams and projects.
• Manage and improve our AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor peers and grow your skills within the engineering team.

What We’re Looking For:

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Experience with distributed systems, data modeling, and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Go, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or private clouds.
