About The Role

We are seeking an experienced AI Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This role is software-centric, with primary responsibilities in backend and infrastructure engineering, and secondary responsibilities supporting AI/ML workflows and occasional frontend development. You will help build and maintain scalable APIs, infrastructure as code, internal platforms, and AI-ready data pipelines in a high-compliance environment.

Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices
• Build and maintain authentication systems using OAuth, JWT, RBAC
• Optimize performance for data systems such as PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and ElasticSearch
• Collaborate with frontend engineers for end-to-end system integration
  
  

AI/ML Infrastructure & Data Pipelines

• Support scalable deployment and monitoring of ML models
• Develop data pipelines using tools like Spark, Kafka, or Flink
• Enhance observability for AI systems using MLflow, Prometheus, or DataDog
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to optimize infrastructure for LLM workloads
  
  

Platform & Infrastructure Engineering

• Build cloud-native infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, and Terragrunt
• Develop internal developer platforms, service mesh, and API gateways
• Automate infrastructure deployment using CI/CD pipelines (BuildKite, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
  
  

Frontend Development (Occasional)

• Contribute to internal dashboards and tools using React and TypeScript
• Build UI components for developer experience and system observability
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software, platform, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong backend development skills with APIs, microservices, and authentication systems
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, AWS, and ElasticSearch
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or Terragrunt)
• Scripting skills with Python, Bash, or similar
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with frontend development (React, TypeScript)
• Familiarity with MLOps or LLMOps tools such as SageMaker or Triton
• Experience with streaming data architectures (Kafka, Flink, Spark)
• Knowledge of secure and compliant AI/ML infrastructure (HIPAA preferred)
