Job summary

Sanofi Toronto is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Global Function at the intersection of technology and business. You will design and deliver software solutions that accelerate research workflows, focusing on cloud-native microservices and scalable data analysis.

You will collaborate with product managers, scientists and cross-functional partners, contribute to code reviews, and help establish technical standards.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience with Terraform or similar IaC.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js) and React.
  • Experience with microservices, API design, and cloud security.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and delivers software solutions to accelerate research workflows.
  • Ensures scalability, maintainability, and reliability of systems.
  • Translates requirements into high-quality, performant code.
  • Collaborates with product managers, scientists, and peers to ensure timely delivery.

About You
Education and Experience
  • 4+ years of experience (or equivalent knowledge).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Experience in an innovative, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with one or more of the major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js).
  • Proficiency in React or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with microservice architectures, API design, and cloud security best practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps principles.
