Would you like to work on one of the world's largest product classification and Tax computation engine? We are responsible for classifying billions of products in Amazon's catalogue, calculating accurate Tax amount for every transaction that happens on Amazon's global platform.
Our engineering services are relied upon globally, built to be resilient across some of highest peak traffic demands in the world, while constantly evolving with the state of the art technology. We use language models at scale for Tax classification of the diverse products in Amazon catalogue. The Engineering manager works closely with Tax specialists, Product team , Applied scientists - tackling a growing portfolio of core-science problems that includes balance of predictive and generative AI -including language comprehension, causal reasoning and active learning. Amazon's eCommerce Services group is looking for a passionate, results-oriented inventive Software Development Manager. As the development manager, you'll lead a talented and nimble team of engineers. Responsibilities include direct management of engineers, process and quality of service improvements, strategic planning, project management for software within the team, and management of resources across teams. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
