The MetaDor team, part of Amazon's BuilderWorks organization, collects and analyzes metadata related to data usage across Amazon. Our services map service-to-data relationships, infer schema, and generate insights for Amazon service teams that influence data regionality decisions and performance versus efficiency trade-offs.
MetaDor is a critical service informing Amazon's region flexibility data migration strategy. Teams rely on MetaDor's insights to guide them through complex and ambiguous data migrations.
We are looking for a customer obsessed, smart, results oriented manager with a strong distributed systems background and experience delivering high performance client/server architectures that scale. You will be responsible for defining the strategy and roadmap for our technologies as required to deliver on our mission both in the short and long term. You are responsible for managing people's growth and providing career development for the team.

The base salary for this position ranges from $171,400/year up to $286,200/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
