Job summary

Onstream, a division of MISTRAS, is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead design, development, and delivery of software for pipeline inspection and data analytics. You will mentor a team, set goals, and drive a robust technology roadmap in collaboration with operations and engineering.

The role focuses on desktop, web, and data-processing applications, with emphasis on scalable, secure, and maintainable software, using modern practices such as automated testing and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SW Eng, or related field; master's is an asset.
• 10+ years of progressive software development experience.
• 5+ years in software development leadership or management.
• Experience delivering complex software products and leading technical teams.
• Experience in pipeline inspection or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers and specialists.
• Set objectives, development plans, and performance expectations.
• Develop and execute the software roadmap aligned with strategies.
• Provide technical oversight for desktop, mobile, web, and data-processing apps.
• Guide system architecture, data and database design, and integration.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and performant.
• Adopt modern software engineering practices: automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools.
