Software Development Manager, Bedrock Studio

Responsibilities

Our team is responsible for Bedrock Studio, an innovative SSO-enabled web interface launched in March 2025 as part of SageMaker Unified Studio. We're enabling organizations to:

1. Experiment with the latest LLMs and foundation models
2. Create and iterate on generative AI applications seamlessly
3. Build sophisticated AI solutions by combining knowledge bases, guardrails, and prompt flows
4. Foster collaboration through shared workspaces and resources
5. Deploy enterprise-ready GenAI applications at scale

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you'll guide your team in architecting, scaling, and optimizing mission-critical systems that power our business operations. We're looking for a dynamic leader who combines hands-on technical expertise with exceptional people management skills.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of engineering experience
• 8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness
