Autodesk's Platform Services and Emerging Technologies groupis seeking a talented Engineering Manager to join our team of diverse, smart, and drivenengineers who are responsible for building the User Management and Access platform. Our platform is at the forefront of the company’s strategic investment and has tremendous visibility and impact across Autodesk.As an Engineering Manager you will be leading high performing Scrum team where the code and services the team develops will have a direct, positive impact to the million users of our products. You'll be managing team building cloud based micro-services and frontends that power events and data integrations used to support User Management and Product Access for our valued customers. The services and applications we build, own and support are business critical, tier-1 systems that must be highly available with low latency, to provide our customers with seamless and intuitive access to manage their users. This experience is key to our business and one of our top initiatives around transformation and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor the software development team

• Establish software development standards and practices

• Engage in technical and architectural discussions and decision-making

• Attract, hire, and continuously grow top software development talent

• Build and foster a high-performance culture

• Perform code reviews and technology evaluations

• Be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of technical projects

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and build toward a cohesive technical strategy

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of people management experience

• Hands-on experience with public cloud technologies (AWS)

• Deep understanding of designing and maintaining large-scale, distributed platforms

• Experience working with remote teams and other cross-functional stakeholders

• Recent hands-on experience within one or more languages – Java/Javascript/TypeScript

• Understanding & curiosity about Engineering best practices

• Good self-management skills and ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks coming in simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building apps on AWS using services such as Step functions, DynamoDB, IAM, EC2, CloudWatch, and Lambda

• Experience consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIs

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Dynatrace)
