Job summary

SOTI is seeking a Software Development Manager in Mississauga, Ontario. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive delivery, and shape software strategy in a hybrid work model.

You’ll mentor engineers, foster agile practices, and collaborate with product owners to align roadmaps with business goals. The ideal candidate has extensive software leadership experience and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years in software development, design and testing with 5+ years in leadership.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Problem-solving across people and technology.
• Experience with agile software development.
• Ability to coach team in technical skills and project management.
• Knowledge of common development tools and technologies.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical rigor and solid process management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Take a holistic, long-term view and build organizational capability to deliver great products.
• Help teams and ScrumMaster remove obstacles and apply Scrum principles.
• Act as a coach for teams developing new solutions and technologies with guidance.
• Teach teams to improve and solve problems.
• Introduce modern software development practices across the lifecycle.
• Support Product Owners and ScrumMaster in roadmaps and implementation plans.
• Develop team members' technical capabilities through training.
