Birdseye Security in Mississauga is seeking a third- or fourth-year Software Development Intern for a part-time, in-person role at our HQ. Minimum 20 hours per week during the school year; you’ll work with leadership and operations to build tools used daily.
We’re an AI-forward company; you’ll use AI coding tools, review output, and take ownership. If you’ve built something end-to-end, share it—curiosity and practical impact are valued.
Thanks for taking a look at this role.
Over the past year we’ve built a lot of our own tools, and they’ve changed how our teams work every day.
We’re now ready to add a developer to help us build more of them.
We’re looking for a third- or fourth-year student to join us part-time. This is an in-person role at our
Mississauga HQ, with a minimum of 20 hours per week.
We need someone who can take an idea from one of our teams and turn it into something people rely on
every shift. You’ll work directly with our leadership and operations teams, and you’ll see your work being used
within weeks, not months.
We’re an AI-forward company. AI is part of how we work every day, across every team, and we expect the
same from you. You should already be using AI coding tools to plan, write, test and ship faster, and you
should know how to check their output and not just accept it.
We don’t expect you to know everything. We’re looking for someone curious who asks good questions and
likes building things people actually use. If you’ve built something end to end, even a school project, we want
to hear about it.
We’ll work around your class and exam schedule. In return you’ll get real ownership and a close look at how a
growing company runs.
Kind regards,
The Birdseye Team
Birdseye Security provides remote video monitoring and virtual gate services for logistics, trucking and
industrial yards across North America. Our operators watch over customer sites around the clock, process
trucks and trailers at the gate, and respond to incidents in real time. Technology is at the center of how we do
that, and much of it we build in house.
We’re looking for a third- or fourth-year student to join us part-time as a Software Development Intern. This is
an in-person role at our Mississauga HQ, with a minimum of 20 hours per week during the school year. You’ll
work with our operations, customer success and finance teams to build and improve the tools we use every
day. Some of what you build will be internal, and some will be used directly by our customers.
AI is not a side project at Birdseye. It’s a tool our teams use every day, and our developers are expected to be proficient with it. You’ll use AI coding tools as a normal part of your workflow, and you’ll help build AI into the tools our teams rely on. We’re looking for someone who knows how to get real work done with AI, and who can review, test and take ownership of everything it produces.
We care more about what you’ve built and how you think than about checking every box
