Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer, Senior Leader Experiences - Workforce Planning in Vancouver. The role focuses on leading the development and launch of core product features, designing scalable architectures, and upholding code quality across a fast-growing AWS-powered stack.

You will work closely with engineers, designers and product managers to deliver strong UI and backend capabilities, while mentoring teammates and participating in hiring efforts.

Qualifications

Software Development Engineer, Senior Leader Experiences - Workforce Planning

As part of the Amazon-wide Amzonian Leadership Experiences team, the Senior Leadership team's mission is to build workforce planning application suite. We develop philosophies, mechanisms and products that guide leaders to inspect and make data-driven decisions to improve their organizational operating models, and plans to guide their outlook year for workforce composition. A successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and launch of a variety of core product features, designing the system architecture, and promoting code quality and best practices. Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience


• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience


• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience


• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience


• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
