Description

The Region Flexibility Engineering (RFE) organization builds and leverages foundational infrastructure capabilities, tools, and datasets needed to support Amazon's rapid global expansion. Our team focuses on robust, scalable architecture patterns and engineering best practices, promoting adoption of evolving AWS technologies. We develop infrastructure capabilities, tools, and datasets that enable Amazon teams to better serve customers. We are seeking a passionate, results-oriented Software Development Engineer (SDE) to help refine and deliver multi-region SDO services, design and implement solutions for regional placement automation, cross-region libraries, and tooling for teams across Amazon.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and building highly scalable services and solutions from scratch.
• Collaborating with AWS teams to meet Amazon Retail infrastructure needs.
• Working closely with a large community of Senior and Principal Engineers.
• Choosing appropriate scalable and available technologies to solve complex problems.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, focusing on reliability and scalability.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
